it wouldn’t be a proper trip home without my mom sharing her love for cooking with anyone and everyone who visits our home. so a couple weekends ago, when all of my friends came home with me, there was an abundance of food and baked goods awaiting us at every meal [and throughout the entire day]. from burgers and salmon and pork loin to cous cous cranberry salad, edamame salad, and pinto bean salad to corn on the cob and shrimp cocktail, delectable french toast, eggs, and fruit platters, to blondies, cookies, and homemade ice cream sandwiches [which i highly highly recommend making. you can find the recipe here], there was not a moment spent without something on the table. and it is for that very reason and so much more, that i love being home.
