Twig Forts and Trees

January 11, 2011

Birmingham went from a city to what seemed like a ghost town simulation thanks to an inch of snow on the ground (actually more like an inch of ice). And even though the skies were grey and few people even stepped outside their front doors, it was fun to play in.  I enjoyed climbing trees and especially enjoyed the giant hill that reminded me of a set from ‘where the wild things are’ with twig like bushes that made great forts. This adventure was later accompanied with homemade hot chocolate and a long night of lounging and hopes that classes would be cancelled again.

Hope everyone else had a great snow day.
